Tony Angelo is a pioneer of the sport of drifting in the United States and is widely considered a legend within the industry. Angelo has a strong connection to the grassroots-drifting scene and is well respected by both professionals and amateur drifters for his contributions to the sport's development and growth. Tony has had a significant influence on the American style of drifting as one of its first drivers and event promoters. He's a founding and active member of the Drift Alliance team, one of the most successful teams in the Formula Drift series. With top finishes and impressive results, Angelo displayed his talent as a top-level drifter for five consecutive years competing in both Formula D. In 2009, Angelo made a career transition when he stopped competing in the U.S. to take on the role of a judge and technical manager in Formula D, heavily revamping judging and scoring format for the better. Angelo simultaneously gained international recognition, coaching, judging and conducting clinics in Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Singapore, and finishing top 8 in major events Malaysia and Belarus. Tony is back in 2012 with avengeance, hopping into the #33 Scion tC for this year, and making his comeback.
